Our History

Since day one, our goal has been to help our members succeed. Yolo Federal was born when a group of local County Sheriff Department employees banded together to help their colleagues buy the equipment they needed for work. By 1954, we were chartered and officially organized as a federal credit union, under our original name “Yolo County Employees Federal Credit Union.”

We’re a family organization—just a bunch of “people helping people.” We started with a small branch in Woodland. Today, we have locations sprinkled across Yolo County. Our members are our partners, and we’re committed to helping them throughout their lives, whether they’re buying their first homes or shopping for the perfect retirement plan. For more than 60 years, generations of Yolo County residents have benefited from a financial institution that really, truly has their best interests at heart.

Our Values

We are committed to helping Yolo County achieve financial success. As a member of Yolo Federal, you can count on the following promises:

  • We take ownership of member requests and focus our attention to exceed their expectations.
  • We build genuine relationships with each member to create a unique experience. We put their best interests first.
  • We are committed to the prosperity of our community.
  • We demonstrate integrity in every interaction to uphold member confidence.

Fraud—Protect Yourself

We closely monitor for potential fraud and proactively work to protect members. If you are contacted from a number that appears to be Yolo Federal and are asked to provide your online banking credentials or your two-factor authentication code, this is a scam. If you suspect fraud or have questions, please call, schedule an appointment, or click on Let's chat! to speak with a Yolo FCU representative.
