Since our establishment in 1954, our mission has been to help our members achieve financial success. We are a full-service financial institution, meaning we’re your one-stop shop for all your banking needs.

Everyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Yolo, Sacramento, Placer, or El Dorado counties is eligible for membership.

 

  • History

    Yolo Federal was established when a group of local County Sheriff Department employees banded together to help their colleagues buy the equipment they needed for work. By 1954, we were chartered and officially organized as a federal credit union, under our original name “Yolo County Employees Federal Credit Union.”

    We have grown from a small, single branch serving a collective of people to the only financial institution exclusively serving Yolo County. Today, we have a physical presence in every major city within the county, yet, we’re still that family organization—just a bunch of “people helping people.” Our members are our partners, and we’re committed to helping them throughout their lives, whether they’re buying their first homes or shopping for the perfect retirement plan. We truly have our members’ best interests at heart.

To qualify for membership, you must live, work, worship, attend school in Yolo, Sacramento, Placer, or El Dorado counties.

To apply for a Home Loan, you must qualify for membership, and the property must be located in Yolo, Sacramento, Placer, or El Dorado counties or within 50 miles of our corporate office.
