Last Friday, March 20th, our online banking system encountered an interruption of service. This was due to our online banking provider choosing to disconnect their systems after detecting potential anomalous activity on their server. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure data was protected and as a result of this swift action, no member data was compromised.
We recognize that in a time when digital banking is critical, this caused some inconvenience. We sincerely apologize and thank you for your patience as we worked diligently with our online banking provider to restore online banking.
Because we are a local financial institution, we have the unique ability to adapt quickly. Here are the steps we took to ensure continued service over the weekend.
- Our Digital Branch hours were extended and we offered call appointments to reduce potential wait times.
- We continually monitored the firstname.lastname@example.org email inbox after hours throughout the weekend to perform general account maintenance and answer questions. We were able to help members early in the morning, throughout the day, and late in the evening.
- Our social media page was active, and messages were answered in a matter of a few minutes.
Online banking has since been restored and we encourage you to utilize our digital services while you shelter-in-place. Your health and safety are of utmost importance.
