Did you know that the average overdraft fee is $33.36? It’s not surprising. In fact, most financial institution fees have steadily increased over the last twenty years. But not here at Yolo Federal. While other financial institutions are increasing their fees, we are lowering ours. As of September 1, 2019, our Privilege Pay fee was reduced from $30 to $20. That’s less than what the average overdraft fee was in 1998 at $21.57! Here at Yolo Federal, it’s our mission to help Yolo County achieve financial success and we do that by giving back to our members in the form of fewer fees and lower rates.

Privilege Pay* is an overdraft protection program available on Checking Accounts and automatically enabled for check and ACH transactions for qualifying members. It is also available for ATM/Debit transactions, but you are required to opt-in for this service. It is free to opt-out of Privilege Pay at any time on any account.

To learn more about our Privilege Pay program and to opt-in, contact a Yolo Federal representative at (530) 668-2700 or schedule an appointment.

*Privilege Pay is available for ATM, POS/Debit, ACH, and checks. A $20 fee will be charged for each item resulting in an overdraft of a checking account caused by non-sufficient-funds (NSF) checks, ATM, Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT), Bill Payment or ACH items. In the event that Privilege Pay is not available, then a $20 NSF fee will be charged when there are insufficient funds or previously deposited funds are subject to a hold or are uncollected. Privilege Pay is available for qualifying members. Privilege Pay is discretionary, and Yolo FCU reserves the right not to pay. For example, Yolo FCU typically does not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing or you have had excessive overdrafts. Accounts must be brought to a positive balance within the allotted 14-day period.
